i feel like most, if not all, of the time when someone says something like “why can’t we all just get along we are all human etc etc” in regards to oppression what they really mean is “I’m complacent in the privileges afforded to me by my societal standing why can’t you be as well so you can stop talking about it you’re making me uncomfortable”
