ok, i don’t know what tumblr’s definition of “problematic” actually is, but it doesn’t mean:
- controversial
- offensive
- insulting
- irksome / generally bothersome
- makes you uncomfortable
what it does mean is:
- causes a problem.
saying “this person is problematic” doesn’t actually make any sense because the mere fact that the person exists does not cause problems
what does cause problems is the way a person uses their influence to spread harmful, oppressive, and dangerous viewpoints to a large and malleable audience
