Abusers often don’t look evil. They’re respectable. They’re professional. They’re polite. They say all the right things, make the right facial expressions. They make you think they are incapable of hurting you or anyone else. The people they choose to hurt is a calculated decision. The ones that will be silent, or the ones that will be met with aggression if they speak up.
