@ artists who draw “genderbends” you should not do that anymore. You are, while (usually) not on purpose, contributing to cissexist ideas and normalizing the idea that genitals and presentation = gender.
(such as “feminine” clothes + brests = woman and “masculine” clothes + a flat chest= male)
Its okay if you didnt know before, a lot of people are learning! but I hope that this helps clear some things up about the issues with it if you werent sure.
Rather than discouraging artists from gender bending, let’s encourage artists to bend characters outside the binary instead. Saying gender bending artists “should not do that anymore” is rude and also does not fix the issue at hand.
actually yeah I agree with op above here, I would just like to see more gender has. We should deffo stray from the “Make a guy a girl by giving them boobs and long hair” thing though. But as a whole seeing more genders involved would be good.
